You realy don't know what you're walking on.

Tonight on the way home I spotted a sign indicating free access to an under ground archeological sight. Not ones to miss an opportunity we checked it out.
It was quite incredible, apparently it is part of an old palace from sometime between the 4 th and 11th centuries. The owner of the above building only discovered it about 10 years ago and has so far removed about 700 truck loads of rubble, he wants to make it a wine tasting room.

Roof cone. Note the spiral brick pattern. The centre is gone but others are finished with bricks in an x pattern.
