Eceabat

We have arrived in Eceabat which is close to the Gallipoli battlefields and are planning to join a tour this afternoon. We seem to be the only people in the hotel. It's obviously the off season which is great, no crowds. The weather is cold but fine.
Across the road is the "Respect for History park", which has a large statue at on end, in the middle a huge model of the peninsula with the points of interest and brief battle history, and at the other end life size soldier manequins in trenches backed by a mural.

The road on the way down seemed almost deserted.
