Almost back to the land of the living.

luckily Sharon was smart enough to know better than to eat raw Korean oysters. me on the other hand, dumb.
I have been sick the last 2 days with what I believe to be Norovirus, which is so common in Korean oysters they are banned in Australia. the virus is easily killed by cooking the food.
it was 2 days after eating it before the runs started and luckily only a single projectile vomit. not to go into too much detail but it was quite frightening at first. we didn't know what was going on, I had been feeling funny in the day but not sick. luckily we were home when it started.
anyway I am feeling heaps better today and have started eating again so hopefully some happier reports in the next few days.

Myeongdong Market

Yet again we find ourselves snooping around the markets. I guess that’s what tourists do so i suppose there is a reputation to keep up.

This is quite a steep hill. i am not sure if he had a parking barke or just the piece of pipe holding the bike from running away. it is stacked with rugs.

I guess all you can say is welcome to Asia.

Pork, yum yum. but too much for 2 people.

And an oyster. delicious. you only need one, although i suppose i could have stretched myself to 2.

Chinatown, Incheon docks and fishmarket.

Chillies drying on the street in Chinatown.  There were several streets that had chillies drying. the smell was faint but really nice.

Yes that’s right, Fireworks for sale. Pity it wasn’t dark yet, and i didn’t want to take them back to the hotel, might scare people these days, so unfortunately went without. :(

There is a wharf of hideously expensive seafood restaurants, a monorail and a fun park that seems to be the hangout for young couples, actually sounds like Darling Harbour when i think about it, The restaurant names are hilarious, well we think so. see what you think.

I wish there was cooking facilities in the hotel. Not even the sandwich maker could do these, they simply wouldn’t fit.

War memorials

From reading the inscriptions at the memorials there is deep respect for the help the USA gave to the South Koreans.

Taroko gorge, Taiwan

This deserved a separate photo collection. This is one of the most beautiful places i have seen. Sadly Sharon had a sore foot so didn’t get to see it first hand.

The water is incredibly clear, I could see fish and shrimp type things without trying.

There was a small rock fall when i was walking, thankfully i was on a part of the path that was cut into the cliff. there was a sound of small stones from above then bigger ones, i went closer to the cliff and my hair started to stand on end, the adrenaline was pumping then a few rocks flew past a few feet from me. they were about from tennis ball size to football size. i waited for the sound to all stop and got the hell out of there.
