Theres hope

We have spent the day in the French Concession area. It is surprisingly clean with tree lined streets and many well maintained art deco buildings. We highly recommend to anyone that has had enough of the pushing and shoving at The Bund and Pudong to come here for a break.
We had a great lunch of chicken with straw mushrooms and also red pork Shanghai style which came in a hotpot and with steamed bread to put the meat in. The taste is quite like a really good pork bun.
After lunch we went to century park in the new Pudong area for a wander around and to try to fly my new kite, which is a large squid about 4m long including the tails. We certainly had a good wander, it is a huge park with a lake and several ponds in it, unfortunately not enough wind for the kite though.
Tomorrow for we are going to Tai'Shan which is a large mountain that many emperors have climbed. Hopefully we can conquer the mountain not the other way round.
