Where's the Americana

We have been in Washington for almost 4 days and haven't seen a single KFC, Burger King or McDONALD'S. It is quite surprising. We've been around the museums and government buildings, past G W University into Georgetown and today to a large foodcourt at union station. Not a single one.
I have a theory. I believe that what has happened is similar to when you take a plant or animal from their native country to somewhere there are no natural predators or competition. So although these fast food American icons have spread all over the world like weeds they are kept in check here due to the amount of competition. My theory anyway.


We just got back from Chinatown. It's just weird.

On a different note. Check out the size of the doughnuts.
